Sonic the Hedgehog review

Just a few hours ago, I went to see Sonic the Hedgehog movie. The story is: After discovering the titular small, blue, fast hedgehog, a small-town police officer must help it defeat an evil genius  named  Dr. Robotnik who wants to do experiments on it.

After the delay this movie had, because the backlash surrounding the initial design of Sonic's appearence in the original trailer, to give the effects team more time to redesign the character, we  finally got this movie.

It captures the spirit of the original Sega games, with straight-up action, improved visuals and brilliant performances from the cast, particularly Jim Carrey's performance as Dr. Robotnik.

This was much better than the Transformers movies, whereas if instead of focusing on the guy watching the Transformers, we focus on the Transformers, except in this case, it's Sonic going faster than ever.

Overall, I give Sonic The Hedgehog, a Thumbs Up! Go check it out!

See you at the movies.

Birds of Prey Search Engine Issues

I wanted to talk for a moment about the movie “Birds of Prey”. Yesterday it was announced that the movie was going to me listed as “Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey” on the websites of top theater chains like Regal Cinemas, Cinemark and AMC Theatres. This was done so moviegoers searching for “Harley Quinn” would see her in the title of the movie and not get confused.

I understand why this move was made, but I think it does a disservice to the movie. I’ve seen the movie, and it’s good. It should be doing better at the box office, in my opinion. However, (small spoilers ahead) while the story focuses on Harley Quinn for much of the movie, the movie is really about the formation of a group of heroes. Harley Quinn, for all her appeal, is a villain. I think it’s important to not downplay the good guys in this movie.  I’m glad that Warner Bros. didn’t officially change the name of the movie, but I think the Theatres should keep the name ‘Birds of Prey’ also.

I also think it’s important for the full title, “Birds of Prey, and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn” to appear on the Blue-Ray and DVD release, as well as the IMDB page, and so on.

That’s it for now. See you at the movies!

So, today, I'm abut the Oscars, this year. I'm gonna make this quick, because I'm pathetic and I got some work to do.

Half of the winners were reasonable, the others were just not so much in my opinion.

I'm not going to tell you, exactly, but I'll say this:

1917 deserves Best Picture more than Parasite. That's just me.

See you at the movies.

Birds of Prey (or the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) follows  Harley Quinn, as she joins forces with the Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya to save Cassandra Cain from Gotham City crime lord Black Mask.

The cast gives great performances, the action is fun and easy to follow, and the soundtrack is brilliant ,but the movie suffers a complicated script.

However, I still recommend checking out Birds of Prey. A must see.

P.S. #ReleaseTheSnyderCut #ReleaseTheAyerCut

Well, anyway, see you at the movies. And next time, I will talk about the Oscars, tomorrow night.
